Dear Au pair
We are a 4 member - Indonesian-Dutch family, full of joy and activities.We’re living in Belgium, closed to the border of The Netherlands in a house with a big garden..
We are looking for ( Unmarried Au-pair girl from Indonesia,Malaysia,Philiphina or China- Age: Min.19 Years - Max. 25 years old) who is responsible and reliable, enjoy looking after and be with the kids, creative and easygoing.
- Start date : April - June 2008
- Length of Stay : 12 - 24 Months
- No. Smoking (Dirumah kami tidak ada yg merokok)
Help to take care of our children before and after school time.
She should be able to help with the running of the House and the daily tasks related to it. Would be perfect if she had an International driving licence to drive the kids to the school (3 km from our house). Lebih bagus lagi apabila au-pair mempunyai SIM Internasional-Mobil jadi bisa mengantar dan menjemput anak-anak dengan mobil. (jarak dari rumah ke sekolah cuma 3 km).
If you are native English and Indonesian, we expect you to give to the children English and Indonesian basics.
If you do sport, play music or have another hobby, we could look if you can find a club or center where to practice.
If you like computer, you can internet/read some Indonesian news (Kompas,Suara pembaruan,Nova,Femina Online etc etc). So You can use our computer.
If you like to travel, Paris, Germany, Luxemburg, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Denhaag, Bruxelles are 1-4 hours far !

We are a 4 member - Indonesian-Dutch family, A father (Dutch) + a mother (Asian) and 2 kids (A boy , Ruben = 3,5 years old and A girl, Myra = 1,5 year old).
Anak yg pertama, Ruben setiap hari senin s/d jumat pergi kesekolah dari jam 8 s/d 12:00, dan setiap selasa/Jumat 1 hari penuh kesekolah sampai jam 15:30, sedangkan anak yg kedua, Myra setiap 2x/minggu pergi ke Daycare dari jam 9 s/d 17:00…)
Ruben every monday till friday go to go school from 8 till 12 o’clock. (1 or 2 time in week = Tuesday or Friday till 15:30).
Myra every tuesday and friday - in Daycare / HET BERENBOS- Hour : 9 till 17:00.
We can speak Dutch,English and also Indonesia…(Jadi au pair harus bisa berbahasa Indonesia dengan baik untuk anak-anak kami). Anyway I’ve been learning Mandarin Language in Belgium, but i’ve stopped cause i was pregnant, perhaps if you can speak Mandarin fluently, so in the future i can learn from you…isn’t it good idea?
With the children, there is always something on in the family !.
We enjoy to be together with the children, to take part to the cultural, zoo, parc, shopping center, restaurants, cinema or local animations, Indonesian,Belgian or Dutch clubs, Kids and family clubs or visit friends/family…. etc etc…
We meet our friends and families, in Belgium & The Netherlands (also KBRI-Indonesian Embassy in Brussel-Belgium and Denhaag-Holland), Indonesian Club&Culture Center, pasar malam in Belgium+Holland, etc etc).
We like nice friendship, cause they are also nice n good friends for us…
We like cook+eat Asia foods (salah satunya masakan Indonesia) and Europa Food. (Persediaan makanan Indonesia kami lumayan lengkap, dari bumbu2 indonesia,indomie,tahu,tempe,krupuk,sambal+nasi/beras).
Setiap minggu pertama dan minggu ketiga kami suka ber-ibadah pergi ke PERKI diadakan di aula Kedutaan Indonesia di Brussel-Belgia, berkumpul dengan orang-orang Indonesia, mendengar lagu2 Indonesia, dan bisa makan berbagai Indonesian food. Every 1st and 3rd sunday/month, we’d like to go to PERKI - in Aula KBRI Indonesian Embassy in Brussel, there we meet Indonesian + eat some Indonesian food. (See foto’s click here)
Selain aktif dengan perkumpulan orang-orang Indonesia di Belgia dan Belanda, kami juga aktif dengan perkumpulan Europa (dutch/Belgian)….Jadi bisa belajar bahasa Belanda juga dan mengenal kebudayaan Belanda/Belgia.
Pas Weekend kami suka ada acara dengan keluarga dan teman teman di Belgia atau Belanda, atau bersantai ria dirumah saja.
We like music,golf, swimming,gtg 2 cinema, beach,restaurant,cafe (uit-eten),shopping, internet/computer and travelling by car or plane (jadi bisa ikut kalo kami travel keluar kota atau keluar negri dengan mobil/pesawat)….
We expect from our au pair :
- The au pair must be un-married. (Single). Good conditions/Healthy…(Sehat,tidak penyakitan/mempunyai penyakit menular).
- She can speak (writing+reading) English (Bisa mengerti, membaca dan berbicara Bahasa Inggris percakapan sehari-hari). + Would be perfect if she can speak Indonesian.
- a help to prepare the children in the morning, preparing our kids before and after school/daycare,drive them to school/daycare.

- help in preparing afternoon and evening meal and clean up the kitchen after the meals
- bath/bed time help
- play with children coming back from daycare/school
- keep children’s play room, bathroom, sleeping room clean
- a light help for the house cleaning, some ironing.
There will be babysitting at night when we go out or During week-end.(OCCASIONALLY)
The au pair girl will be friendly, reliable,loyal,honestly, (Punya agama,tidak atheis tetapi TIDAK HARUS fanatik dengan agamanya, saling toleransi),punya motivasi kerja yg baik, betah tinggal di luar negri (Belgia), senang dengan anak-anak, bisa kasih ajar anak bahasa Indonesia/mandarin, membaca buku cerita dengan anak-anak.
Au pair shall be considered as family members and should be treated as such. The au pair and the host family should eat meals together.
kami tidak membedakan antara kami dengan au-pair karena semua mempunyai hak yang sama, saling menghormati,saling toleransi dan mempunyai rasa kekeluargaan yang kental.
The most important task of our aupair is to become a real friend and a big sister of our two kids. This can only be achieved when you do your "work" with your heart.

Belgium
Preconditions:
The au pair needs to have basic knowledge of the language which is spoken within the host family or he has to commit himself to get this basic knowledge by attending an intensive language course directly after his arrival in Belgium.
The au pair needs to have a school leaving qualification which allows him to attend university in his country of origin or he needs to proove that he took part in classes up to the age of 17.
The family needs to have at least one child younger than 13 years old at the beginning of the au pair stay.
A contract has to be made up between the au pair and the host family.
Age: 18 to 26 years
Duration of stay: An au pair stay cannot exceed the duration of one year.
Spare time: The au pair is entiteled to one day off per week.
Language course: During the duration of stay the au pair is obliged to participate in a course of the language spoken in the region where the host family lives with a recognized institution.
Administrative procedure
Nationals of European Union countries, of Island, Monaco, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland do neither need a visa nor a work permit to work in Belgium as an au pair.
Nationals of Non EU countries need to have a valid work permit. An au pair in Belgium may not have had a work permit for Belgium before.
The host family has to apply for an employment authorisation and for a work permit B. The application must be submitted to the immigration service competent for that particular part of the national territory. It is necessary to add a medical certificate of the au pair and an employment contract to the application.
The au pair may not yet have reached the age of 26 years when the employment authorisation and the work permit will be granted.
The validity period of the employment authorisation and of the work permit for the au pair cannot exceed one year.
A host family cannot have an employment authorisation for several au pairs at the same time.
A host family also cannot have had three employment authorisations for au pairs before.
Those people who would like to stay in Belgium for longer than three months need a Schengen visa type D. They need to get the visa before coming to Belgium and they can only apply for it if the host family has already received the employment authorisation and the work permit B.
The au pair needs to apply for the visa at the Belgian diplomatic service or the Belgian Consulate of the country where he lives.
May a Belgian family employ a Belgian au pair?
It is possible if for example a Flemish family employs a Walloon au pair or if a Walloon family employs a Flemish au pair
